1. Do you think that the advert has an appropriate colour scheme?
All people who answered this question said that they thought the colour scheme was good. Some people said they would like to see brighter, vibrant colours on the advert, however I feel that this would not be appropriate for the band's genre and style...
2. Do you like the picture of the bear? Is it appropriate?
All people questioned said they like the picture of the bear. Some commented on how it shows the band's enthusiasm for music, which was the effect I was going for.
3. Do you think the album picture should be in colour? (The actual colour of the digipak is blue)
Most people said that they thought it was fine how it is, however one person said that it might make it easier to find in the shops if it was in colour on the advert, however I feel that this introduction of a bright colour might ruin the overall effect of the advert
4. Do you think a different font should be used on the advert?
The vast majority of people answered no for this question, so I have decided to keep the font the same, as it links well with the digipak.
5. Can you tell from the design of the advert which genre of music the band plays?
Most people said that they thought the design was for an alternative band, which is good. I am pleased that the design accurately shows the band's genre so the audience doe not get confunsed.
6. Do you like the layout of the advert or do you think things should be in a different order?
For this question, the general feeling was that the different aspects of the advert were in a good layout, easy to read and not too cramped or confusing.
7. Is there any additional information you would like to see on the advert?
People said they would like to see quotes from people/magazines on the advert and also where to buy the single from. These are aspects that I will include in my final design.
8. What age range do you think this advert would appeal to?
People thought that this advert would most appeal to people form the age 16 to around 25. This would be the age of the target audience.
9. What kind of magazine do you think this advert would appear in?
Answers for this question were pretty much evenly spread across three answers; NME, Kerrang and Q. These magazines are good as they contain articles about bands similar to And The Winner Is such as Muse, The Blackout, Arctic Monkeys and Cage The Elephant.
10. Are you more likely to purchase the CD knowing that it contains a bonus track?
Everyone said that they would be much more likely to buy the CD knowing that it has a bonus track, this incentive should greatly improve sales of the Digipak.
All this feedback will be very useful in helping come up with a final design for my Digipak advert.
