British Film: Robin Hood

The film is about Robin Hood and his band of merry men who confront corruption in a local village set in 13th century England. Robin and his men lead an uprising against the monarchy that will forever alter the balance of power.
This relates to Britain in that it is re-telling British history.
The main characters in the film all have different nationalities. Russel Crowe - New Zealand, Cate Blanchett - Australian, Mark Strong - British.
Robin Hood is directed by British director Ridley Scott, his other films are Black Hawk Down, Hannibal, Blade Runner, Alien and Gladiator.
The style of the film is set in the past in Olde England to retell the story. Robin Hood belongs to the genre of action adventure and drama. The film was financed by Universal Pictures based in the USA founded in 1912 and was also promoted and distributed by Universal Pictures using trailers and adverts.
