The film is about Robin Hood and his band of merry men who confront corruption in a local village set in 13th century England. Robin and his men lead an uprising against the monarchy that will forever alter the balance of power.

The film was financed by Universal Pictures based in the USA founded in 1912 and was also promoted and distributed by Universal Pictures using trailers and adverts.
